ON THE BLACK HERITAGE TRAIL

                                         ON THE BLACK HERITAGE TRAIL

At times in life, it is better to see than to read to get a better feeling. The black heritage trail in Boston and its 14 sites is part of this nation’s history. It is very important too. By a walk through the trail you get a sense of what it was like to be black.  Through these streets these buildings lies a national treasure. The memorial is the beginning of the tour. It honors the 54th regiment and one of the only one’s that granted the right to black Americans to fight for a country that was theirs with or without the consent of the white America. Buildings in which many great events happened that changed the American structure and society continue the tour.  It is a shame that some of these places are not open to the public, because inside there is a cultural heritage awaiting for us. Unfortunately I can only imagine what it was like to live in this period but through this trail I could try to imagine it.
