Usain Bolt on jamaikalainen
Lionel Messi on argentiinalainen
-lainen is added to express where someone or something is from. So in the example above Usain Bolt is Jamaican and Lionel Messi is Argentinian.


Suomi on maa ja suomi on kieli.
Finland is a country and Finnish is a language.
Suomi : Finland and Finnish
Maa: Country
Kieli: Language
Minä puhun suomea
I speak finnish
Hän odotta bussia.

He is waiting for the bus.
