Jossakin on talossa on hissi. There is a lift in the house.
Jossakin on pöydällä on puhelin. There is a telephone on the table.
Puhelin on pöydällä. The telephone is on the table.


Yksikön partitiivi
Jossakin ei ole…. (There is not…)
Jossakin ei ole talossa ei ole hissiä. There isn’t a lift in the house.
Jossakin ei ole pöydällä ei ole puhelinta. There isn’t a telephone on the table.
Puhelin (no partitive) ei ole pöydällä. The telephone is not on the table.

Ja + ei: eikä
“Someone has” sentences
Someone has something. Jollakin on…
Pekalla (Pekka) on vene. Pekka has a boat.
Neslihanilla (Neslihan) on kynä. Neslihan has a pen.

“Someone doesn’t have” sentences
Jollakin ei ole.

Pekalla ei ole venettä. Peka doesn’t have a boat.
Neslihanilla ei ole kynää. Neslihan doesn’t have a pen.

The negative of hyvin is kouin.
