Finnish Language - Lesson 34

In a word after a verb we have to use an -a / -ä ending.
For example:

Puhun suomea (suome(a)). I speak Finnish.
Puhun murretta. I speak dialect.
Odotan bussia. I wait for the bus.

However if the word ends with an “e” then we use a -tta / -ttä ending instead.
For example:

Odotan venettä. I wait for the boat.
